James' work has been described as “...a mixture of peaceful and sometimes moody abstract modern art bursting with colour.” Weaving colour and texture using oil and acrylic paints, James creates multi-layered work that “continues to surprise the eye with each viewing.” James Jenkins - River
Having been a well-established artist in the north of England for many years, Charles moved south two and a half years ago. Now enjoying a semi retirement, three days a week he works with those with mental health needs and the homeless, using art as a communication tool. His principal media is ink; however he is fascinated by all imagery whatever the media. Charles Twigg - Guildford
As an exhibiting member of the Society of Floral Painters much of Nola’s work includes flower subjects. With a love of colour and pattern she paints freely, mostly from imagination, and uses a variety of media including gouache, acrylic inks, watercolour, pencils and pastels. Her paintings are often used for greetings cards and she is this term’s featured artist on the cover of the Guildford Institute brochure. Nola Armstrong - Summer Gaiety
“A beautiful life, with attitude”: This collection presents a modern, sharp and slightly provocative view of life. There can be beauty in primitive elements such as colour, texture and shapes and we use these tools to express our feelings. Natalia Kuzina - Garden
