Italian Beginners Term 1 GI-11-358

10 Wednesdays 3pm to 4.30pm £79 (£72 Concessions)
This is an opportunity to learn elementary Italian in a relaxed environment. The course aims to teach students with little or no knowledge to communicate in everyday situations on familiar and routine matters. The emphasis will be on the spoken language in order to build up oral confidence with some reading, writing and basic grammar.

Italian Improvers Term 1 GI-11-359

For those with a basic knowledge of Italian wishing to improve their existing skills. The aim of this course is to encourage interaction with a degree of fluency and to use Italian effectively in a range of situations. All four skills will be practiced but the emphasis will be on the spoken language during lessons.

Italian Intermediate Term 1 GI-11-360

A course for those who can communicate in everyday situations and express simple opinions with reasonable confidence. The emphasis will be on developing listening and speaking skills using a range of tenses and structures with improved fluency. Grammar will be reviewed and extended in the context of the various topics studied.

Apprendre en s'amusant - an interactive class for Francophiles, building conversation skills in a structured way. Cultural information and topical discussions are tailored towards the interests of students. Individual presentations are encouraged and new members are welcome to join this friendly group.

French Taster (Advanced) GI-11-362

8 Fridays 10am to 12pm £84 (£76 Concessions)
We will continue the BBC Talk French Course/Book 2 from last year and will then progress on to another book (to be announced). Elements of grammar will be studied and conversation practice will of course be paramount. Above all a sense of humour and fun is what is required to enjoy this 'taste' of France. This is not an absolute beginner's course but Tammy is happy to speak to new pupils with some experience of the language who wish to join.
