For those with a basic knowledge of Italian wishing to improve or 'brush up' their existing skills and command of grammar. The aim of this course is to encourage interaction with a degree of fluency and to use Italian effectively in a range of situations. All four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) will be practiced but the emphasis will be on the spoken language during lessons. (Notebook and pen required.)

This is an opportunity to learn elementary Italian in a relaxed environment. The course aims to teach students to communicate in everyday situations and exchange information on familiar and routine matters. The emphasis will be on the spoken language in order to build up oral confidence with some reading, writing and basic grammar. No prior knowledge is required. (Please bring a notebook and pen.)

This course is for those of you who would like to sample the delights of the French language in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Communication basics and grammar will be studied - but the course is not meant to intimidate! What is required is an enthusiasm to learn.

We shall be following the BBC "Talk French" series which is available with CDs. Both books should be purchased and for those of you who missed last term's course, the first 5 chapters of Book 1 should be read and absorbed as much as possible! But please do not worry as there will be a "recap" as well.
