What is the difference between loneliness and solitude? Have you ever felt lonely in a crowd? Referring to Existentialist philosophiser Paul Tillich; “being in a body means being alone”, and Michelle de Montaigne; “happiness depends on ourselves” and that we ought to be content with being “really and truly alone”, we will explore the benefits of solitude.
