Black & White Faces
11 October 2021 @ 9:30 am - 1 November 2021 @ 5:00 pm BST
This exhibition has been created by Ronnie Ireland specially for The Guildford Institute to celebrate Black History month.
Ronnie will present some faces that drew his attention from the 19th century to the present day; young, old, male, female, black, white, present without comment so that the viewer can
make their own connections. The drawings are graphite on paper and the paintings are oil on canvas or linen.
Ronnie graduated in Drawing & Painting from Glasgow School of Art; completed a teaching qualification and then an Honours Degree with The Open University focussing on
20th century art, music and poetry.
He is a very popular tutor at the Guildford Institute and this exhibition links with his upcoming course ‘Black is Black’ on 26th October (tickets only now available online via zoom).
