Go to all CoursesOverview
John Keats (1795 – 1921) was the ‘bright star’ of the Romantic Poets, along with Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley. Though indifferently received in his lifetime, his fame grew rapidly after his untimely death, aged 25. Over two weeks, we will look at a range of Keats’ poetry. We will discuss his ideas about the meaning of poetry and simply enjoy the emotion of his beautiful words.
Copies of the poems will be provided.
This is a repeat of the 2015 course.
