Overview

Cedric Morris (1889-1982) was an artist and plantsman. His favourite plants were irises; reportedly, he bred ninety new cultivars. His house, Benton End, became famous as a painting school attended by artists such as Lucian Freud and Maggi Hambling. The garden became a paradise of rare plants. The atmosphere Morris created with his life-long partner, Arthur Lett-Haines, was one of fine food, wine, and intellectual freedom.

A repeat of the sold-out course from February 2025.
