This course is to help you develop your creative writing ability. All forms are covered, including novels, plays, poems, short stories, memoirs and feature articles.
There will be reading and discussion of your work in a friendly and constructive setting. We will discuss many aspects of writing, such as getting started, shaping short stories, creating characters, writing modern poetry and guidelines on getting published, as well as some writing projects in class.
Beginners are welcome. Please have pen and paper for note-taking and classwork and, if possible, work in progress to read aloud for discussion.
