In this course, we will examine the work and legacies of three fascinating women who fought bravely against convention in order to improve the situation of women in Victorian society.
Josephine Butler challenged the sexual morality of the time, Octavia Hill was involved in the struggles of working class women and Annie Besant embraced various causes in the fight for the emancipation of women. |
