Overview

Bernadine Evaristo’s Girl, Woman, Other won the Booker prize in 2019.

Frustrated by the lack of black British women in literature, Evaristo gives us 12 marvellous characters in this lively, energetic and enchanting book.  This class will discuss these characters and the wider issue of the lack of representation of black women in literature.

Pre-reading of the novel is recommended
