Go to all CoursesOverview
The Victorians invented the modern family seaside holiday, with sandcastles, donkey rides and the general relaxation of conventions. Discover how they painted it; familiar names like William Dyce, William Powell Frith and Helen Allingham, less familiar ones like Arthur Boyd Houghton and Jane Maria Bowkett, and rather unexpected ones like Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
