Sometimes your camera’s automatic settings might struggle with unusual lighting, but other times you may wish to override them for creative purposes. Using your camera’s manual settings is the most creative way to achieve effects from backlit portraits and night-time cityscapes to adding movement blur to give a feeling of speed.

During these sessions, we will take photographs, talk about photography and exposure control and explore situations and camera settings to help you improve your images.

Suitable cameras include most mirrorless, bridge and DSLR cameras.
