Mercury is the innermost world and the one most difficult to see against the glare of the sun. In this session we shall explore what we know about the nature of this planet from the first telescopic observations to more recent radar imaging and space missions (Mariner 10, MESSENGER and BepiColombo). We will also learn more about the phenomena behind Mercury’s curious geology.
