Back by popular demand! This course will examine how villages have evolved through time. Using original documents, photographs, maps and drawings, we will look in detail at the lives of those who lived in Surrey villages from the Romans to the Second World War. We will explore public houses, village halls, highways and footpaths, superstitions, traditions, murder and mayhem.
This course stands alone from the previous course and contains new information. It will be delivered face to face and online (via Zoom) simultaneously. Please ensure that you select the correct ticket type when making your booking.
Please note: Due to the easing of social distancing measures, this face to face course has a capacity of 15 attendees. This is set at 75% of full capacity to ensure safety for our students and tutors. We will endeavour to increase this number to full capacity in due course.
