Dinah’s theatrical and musical parents, in their hectic professional world, taught their daughter early skills about performing. Having dipped into the exciting world of theatre, television and film, Dinah constantly turned back to music. She loved playing the piano and, after a few years, discovered that sharing this passion was a brilliant way of combining all of her skills and experiences. Over the years -35 to be precise, with the last 30 here in Surrey - Dinah taught piano, and all related topics, at Cranmore School, Guildford High School, and Charterhouse. Meanwhile her daughter fled the nest and went to Birmingham to do her degree, leaving Dinah free to do the same – at the University of Surrey. This gave her courage and a good deal of knowledge, so when she was invited to give music lectures at The Guildford Institute, it fitted the bill perfectly. Dinah also teaches theory, aural and musicianship for the North Surrey Suzuki Group, plays for the National Trust at Polesden Lacey, and continues to teach at home, with undiminished enthusiasm...  And now Dinah is a Granny, which she describes as the best job of all.  Dinah is passionate about the value of music and ardently believes in all of the advantages that it has to offer everyone.
