Overview

A celebration of seeing things differently! Carol Ann Duffy is the first woman, the first Scottish-born poet and the first known LGBT poet to hold the position of Poet Laureate. This class will look at her collection of poems (The World’s Wife), which retell myths and historical stories from the female perspective.  Duffy shifts the focus away from the male viewpoint to highlight issues around marriage, sex, love and motherhood.
