The sculpture of Nefertiti in Berlin is one of the most easily recognised and widely admired portraits to survive from Ancient Egypt, but who was this woman? Why did she wield such influence during one of the most troubled periods of Egyptian history? In this course, we shall look at her remarkable career and at the extraordinary collection of the Neues Museum in Berlin which houses her so controversially.
