Economics rule our modern lives and they are the driving force behind governments. The word ‘Economics’ has changed from the original Greek meaning of ‘household management’ to become a ‘neo’ version that is responsible for change both locally and globally. This course will use critical theory to examine neoliberal economics. We will view the historical development of economics to arrive at a better understanding of neoliberalism today and look at its wider application in all areas of our society. This is a repeat of the popular Spring 2019 course.
