Studying the centuries-old tradition of Royal portraiture, this course looks at portraits of the monarchs who have shaped British history, from the Tudors to the Windsors. This course will consider how royal portraits have developed over the centuries and how some of the most celebrated artists have used portraits as a device to promote power and authority.
