Overview

Joanna Foat

Join us for a special 1940s event with music, tea, coffee and cake. Then a lively and interactive talk from author, Joanna Foat. Joanna will share the fascinating and funny stories of what life was like for the young women living in the forests in the Women’s Timber Corps during WWII.

Joanna has published a history book and her first novel on the Lumberjills, given over a hundred talks, written a touring exhibition and has been interviewed on BBC TV and radio many times.

Come dressed in 1940s clothes if you like and join the fun!
