Overview

Although the 1920s presented many challenges as the country recovered from war there were also revolutionary achievements. Technology brought the wireless and motor cars within reach of more families, opportunities for women expanded and the film industry, jazz and dance were a foretaste of modern popular culture. We will look at why this was, in so many ways, a ground-breaking decade.
