This course will provide a basic survey of Surrey’s past through its archaeological investigations. The content will be broken down chronologically and cover activity from the early Palaeolithic to the end of the medieval era c.1540. We will draw on case studies and address general themes including religion, industry and domestic life.
This is a repeat of the popular Autumn 2023 course.
