Why was Florence the powerhouse of the Early Renaissance? Masaccio, Fra Angelico, Botticelli, Leonardo and Michelangelo are just some of the great artists who worked in the city. They developed perspective, revived classical subjects and explored human anatomy. We will explore their Florentine work and its context, including Medici patronage, to enrich our understanding of Europe’s most important art movement.
Please note: Due to the easing of social distancing measures, this face to face course has a capacity of 20 attendees. This is set at 75% of full capacity to ensure safety for our students and tutors. We will endeavour to increase this number to full capacity in due course.
