An early application of satellite imagery was to look at the weather. This one-day course will examine the history and development of satellite observation of the Earth’s atmosphere, from the first crude TV pictures taken by TIROS-1, to the avalanche of data produced by today’s sophisticated Earth observation satellites.
What have they taught us about Earth’s weather and climate?
This course will take place online via Zoom only.
