Science aims to get ever closer to the “truth”, but are there areas where this subject will always be incomplete? How do we differentiate between science, non-science and pseudo-science? This course will examine the philosophical theories that attempt to provide the guiding principles of scientific practice.

About the Speaker
David Worrall
David holds a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy and an MA in Philosophy. Before becoming a tutor, he spent several decades as a Technical Consultant in the software industry, developing operating systems, communications software and applications for the desktop and the web.
He then decided to make more use of his philosophical knowledge, so he left the commercial world and took up lecturing and giving personal tuition in computing and philosophy. In 2006, David began giving courses in philosophy at The Guildford Institute and has been giving further courses, in all areas of Western philosophy, ever since. He has also given some courses on cyber security.
