Go to all CoursesOverview
Whilst we will glance at British painters following well-established routes in France, Germany and Italy, this richly illustrated course will focus on intrepid artists travelling further afield. They depicted the landscapes and culture of Spain, Greece, North Africa, the Middle East, and by 1900 even as far as Japan. Artists include Edward Lear, J.F. Lewis, William Holman Hunt, David Roberts, Arthur Melville and E.A. Hornel.
