Window on the World: The RNLI: Innovation and Imagination – T275 (Face to Face and Online)
16 March 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm GMT
Overview
Colin Brown
Colin Brown retired from British Airways in 2009 after 40 years’ service. As an active boating enthusiast and passionate supporter of the Royal National Lifeboat
Institution (RNLI), Colin became a Community Presenter for the charity and has delivered many talks throughout the South East of England.
Colin’s talk explains how the RNLI continues to deliver the world’s finest marine rescue service entirely funded by voluntary contributions. He explores the innovations in sea safety and provides an understanding of RNLI operations, equipment and training reinforced with stories of real rescues.
Please note: To assist with social distancing measures, this face to face talk will have a reduced capacity of 50 attendees. This is set at 70% of full capacity to ensure safety for our users. We will endeavour to increase this number to full capacity in due course.
This talk can be enjoyed face to face at The Guildford Institute or online (via Zoom). Please ensure that you select the correct ticket type when making your booking.
