This talk celebrates Women’s History Month by focusing on women writers Jane Austen, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Agatha Christie and others, and how they weave in their thoughts on gardens, society, healing and the cycle of life, often inspired by their own experiences and gardens.
Cherrill Sands is a freelance garden historian with an MA in the Conservation of Landscapes, Parks & Gardens. She was also former Chair of the educational charity Surrey Gardens Trust and remains one of the Research and Recording team.
Please note: To assist with social distancing measures, this face to face talk will have a reduced capacity of 50 attendees. This is set at 70% of full capacity to ensure safety for our users. We will endeavour to increase this number to full capacity in due course.
This talk can be enjoyed face to face at The Guildford Institute or online (via Zoom). Please ensure that you select the correct ticket type when making your booking.
