Cornwall is renowned as the birthplace of 20th century British modern art. Unique is the impact of women artists who lived and worked in Cornwall and their influence on the UK art scene and beyond. Focus will be on those following Dame Laura Knight and Dod Procter, 1940’s pioneering modernists Barbara Hepworth and W. Barnes-Graham, the Cornish Surrealists and later Rose Hilton and many more.
