Overview

To celebrate World Poetry Day, this course will look at the sonnet, which has been used by poets as diverse as Shakespeare, Elizabeth Barrett-Browning and Seamus Heaney. We will explore a selection of examples of this poetic form through tutor-led discussion.

The course will also examine the origins of the sonnet.

A list of the poems will be emailed prior to the course.

Please note the delivery of the course may change to face to face depending on circumstances nearer the time. Any changes will be communicated directly to all students.
