SUMMARY:Lushington Family of Cobham and Ockham - T412
DESCRIPTION:The introduction of British designer and artist Edward Burne-Jones to painter and poet Dante Gabriel Rosetti by Vernon Lushington of Cobham helped to lead the second phase of the Pre-Raphaelite art movement. \nDr David Taylor\, a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and  Chairman of the Surrey History Trust\, is a well-known historian\, writer\, and speaker. He catalogued the Lushington archive (now held in the Surrey History Centre). His talk will focus on the important\, and previously unrecognised\, role that Vernon Lushington played in the colourful world of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. \nWe’re delighted to offer our afternoon talks on a Pay What You Can basis. We believe everyone should have access to educational and cultural opportunities\, and that no one should be excluded because of their financial circumstances. Our talks are £7 for all – if anyone feels they need to pay less than this\, please call the team or visit us in person.
