Course Participant

The Great Exhibition of 1851 was a showcase reflecting the growth of industrialisation and manufacturing industries in Britain. Taking this as our starting point, we will examine the impact of industrialisation on the lives of working families. We will also look at the campaigns of some of the social reformers who aimed to improve living and working conditions in this period.
