Chelsea has always been passionate about art, culture and heritage. She holds a BA (Hons) and MA in Art History from the University of Sussex. Prior to joining The Guildford Institute, Chelsea spent eight years working in the museums sector and has a specialist interest in women artists and designers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
As the Programme Manager, Chelsea oversees the Institute’s seasonal programme and helps to keep operations running smoothly. She is focussing on diversifying the Institute's course offering to better represent the community, bringing together people of different ages and backgrounds. Chelsea would also like draw on her experience working with historic collections in order to find innovative ways to showcase the Institute’s Library and Archive.
Chelsea loves that the beautiful historic space at The Guildford Institute offers a place for art lovers and curious minds to meet and learn. She believes that the Institute is instrumental in creating new and exciting opportunities for both members and the wider community. Chelsea is also passionate about improving access to the building and its activities to as broad an audience as possible, and wishes to pioneer new ways to achieve this.
