Chelsea has always been passionate about art, culture and heritage. Prior to joining The Guildford Institute, she spent eight years working in the museums sector and has a specialist interest is women artists and designers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
As the new Programme Manager, Chelsea will oversee the Institute’s seasonal programme and help to keep operations running smoothly. She would like to focus on expanding the impact of the Institute by diversifying the course offering to better represent the community, bringing together people of different ages and backgrounds. Chelsea would also like draw on her experience working with historic collections in order to find innovative ways to showcase the Institute’s Library and Archive.
Chelsea loves that the beautiful historic space at The Guildford Institute offers a place for art lovers and curious minds to meet and learn. She believes that the Institute is instrumental in creating new and exciting opportunities for both members and the wider community. Chelsea is also passionate about improving access to the building and its activities to as broad an audience as possible, and wishes to pioneer new ways to achieve this.
