Valerie Pukhova

Profile

Valerie was born in Moscow, Russia, and moved to the UK in 2020 as an international student. She graduated from Loughborough University with a First-Class Honours degree in Media and Communication. A professional dancer, she is part of a London-based dance team, regularly competing in championships and taking part in dance events. After graduating in 2024, she moved to Guildford and quickly fell in love with the town. While exploring local activities, she attended a painting workshop at The Guildford Institute and was drawn to its welcoming atmosphere. When the opportunity to volunteer arose – especially in a role related to her field – she knew it was the perfect fit. Valerie is passionate about using her creativity to contribute to the local community, no matter how small the impact.
