Tablet weaving was used in Europe in Prehistoric, Saxon, and Medieval times. It uses very simple equipment – a pack of square cards with holes in the corners – to create colourful woven strips ranging from the simple to the richly complex.
Learn basic techniques then design your own braid for dress trimmings, belts, bag handles or lanyards in this fascinating historic craft.
