V Cafe at the Institute
Guildford’s only totally vegetarian restaurant
V Café will close for a few weeks in the summer but otherwise remains open:

We’re pleased to announce that V Café at the Institute is now open! The new team will be led by Nick Humble and Ian loffel. Nick will be a familiar face to many, as he has been Head Chef for Delicious Dishes during their interim period at the GI. He has forty years’ of experience within the catering industry and has held positions such as Catering Manager for KPMG, which required him and his team to deliver thousands of covers daily. Similarly, Ian also has an extensive catering background, which includes the role of Chef at both The Savoy and Claridge’s. The friendly faces of Julie, Pippa and Emma that we hope you’ve become familiar with over recent months will remain onsite in order to assist Nick and Ian. The whole team has grown to really enjoy working at the Institute and hopes that if you haven’t been in to meet them previously, that you will do soon! V Café at the Institute is open Monday to Friday and with a new opening time of 9am, it’s the perfect place to grab that morning caffeine fix!

Restaurant Opening Times
9am–12pm for pastries, tea and coffee
12pm–2pm for a regularly changing menu of freshly-made vegetarian and vegan options
2pm–3pm for refreshments and cakes If you would like to book a table, please contact the Institute.

CLOSED: Wednesday 24 July – Friday 02 August
OPEN: Monday 05 August – Friday 16 August
CLOSED: Monday 19 August – Friday 30 August
V Café will then reopen on Monday 02 September for the autumn term.

Freshly Made, Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Soup
Rosemary Rubbed Jacket Potato, various toppings
Leek and Pepper Frittata with Goat’s Cheese
Moroccan Tagine, with cous cous
Vegetable ‘Money Bags’ filled with spinach and mushrooms
Vegetable fritters, salsa
All available to be served with salads
Strawberry and Apple Crumble with cream
A selection of cakes and pastries.
