Go to all CoursesOverview
We have been unnerved by gothic novels for 250 years: novels such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde are part of this wide-ranging genre.
This talk will explore how a combination of Romanticism in art history and the gothic novel combine. Paintings by John Martin, William Blake, and others will be studied.
