Overview

While in some ways the Edwardian era was a continuation of Victorian society, there were groundbreaking changes on the horizon. Old age pensions, increased leisure time, the advent of ragtime, the suffragette movement and the growth of the popular press were among changes that mark this short but fascinating period.
