Vicky Pursey

Finance and Projects Assistant

Profile

Vicky studied Psychology at the University of Southampton in 2005. After graduating she became a Mental Health Adviser with the NHS, followed by several years working for the University of Surrey in their Clinical Research and Sleep centre. This involved recruitment of volunteers to take part in clinical trials as well performing research tasks with the volunteers. In February 2016, she then joined The Guildford Institute as their Membership and Marketing Assistant. Following a period of maternity leave, Vicky has recently returned to The Guildford Institute in a new role of Finance and Projects Assistant. A large section of Vicky’s role is to assist with The Institute’s invoicing and financial recording processes, helping The Institute to continue to run as efficiently as possible. More than 30 people kindly volunteer for The Institute on a weekly basis, and Vicky, alongside Amy Mason, provides training, support and guidance to these important individuals. Vicky also works on various projects that stem from The Institute’s Strategic Plan, which is formulated by the Board of Trustees alongside The Institute Manager Amy Rice. This provides a framework of activities that aim to continue to improve The Institute’s offer. Vicky likes working with people and enjoys interacting with lots of different individuals from the local community. Vicky loves the Institute’s friendly atmosphere and working closely alongside her team members.
