The UK has an amazing array of housing stock, many of which are still standing proud 200 years on. This lecture looks at the original build, the layout of the interiors and decorative styles. When owning a property of English past, it’s worth knowing what you can retrieve and how you can incorporate today’s needs, to give you a wonderful period home.

About the Speaker
Debby Thurston
An Honours graduate of KLC College of Interior Design and with an MSc in Construction Refurbishment Management from UCL, professional interior designer Debby has over 30 years of experience. She has a diverse portfolio of work, covering all types of projects - from hotels to listed buildings - with expertise in project management. Through her teaching, Debby aims to help everybody benefit from understanding the fundamentals of interior design and get to know the process of renovating or refurbishing. Debby has previously delivered courses for KLC College of Interior Design, as well as one-off lectures and day workshops.
Debby is also a former competitive ballroom dancer, previously ranked 8th in the UK with her husband.
