September at The GI ❤️ Well… what a month. Looki September at The GI ❤️

Well… what a month.

Looking back at September, we're not quite sure how we managed to fit it all in!
There was fundraising, community events, courses, workshops and talks…

Live music. Dancing. Our Heritage Open Day Festival. Delicious lunches. Visits. Lots of conversations. And, of course, some very good company along the way.

And then there was Vicky, who quite literally went above and beyond with the charity abseil!!

It's been busy, it's been brilliant, and we've loved seeing so many of you through the doors.

But now we're curious…

What was your September highlight at The GI?

Was it an event?
A course?
A favourite lunch?
Meeting someone new?
Coming back to something you love?
Or simply spending a bit of time at The GI?

Tell us below - we'd love to hear what your September looked like.

And now… shall we do it all again in October? YES!!
If you've been to The GI, you'll know… There are If you've been to The GI, you'll know…

There are just some little things about The GI that you start to notice...

The familiar faces.
The conversations that seem to happen everywhere.
The little corners of the building.
The library and all our rooms.
The feeling that there's always something happening somewhere.
And the fact that you can come in for one thing and somehow end up chatting to someone along the way!

We've been thinking about all those little things that make The GI feel like The GI and these are just a few that came to mind.

What would you add?
@guildfordfestivalofthearts is almost here and we @guildfordfestivalofthearts is almost here and we can't wait!

We’re getting very excited as the Guildford Festival of the Arts gets closer and we’re delighted to be taking part at The GI from 1–4 October.

It’s going to be a wonderfully busy and diverse few days, with something happening across the day, into the evening and throughout the weekend.

From courses, workshops and lectures to live music, there’ll be lots of different ways to get involved, discover something new and enjoy the arts.

And there’s even more to discover while you’re here- we’re also part of the Festival Stamp Trail, so don’t forget to pop in and collect your stamp!

There’s also a free exhibition / artist talk to explore, a special offer at our V-Café, and our beautiful historic library will also be open.

We love being part of such a wonderful celebration of the arts in Guildford, and we’re really looking forward to joining in.

Dip into our Reel to get a flavour of what’s going on at The GI, and head to our website to discover the full programme and information.
