Go to all CoursesOverview
As society changed in 17th and 18th century Britain, the nuclear family evolved leading to more companionate marriages and new attitudes towards child rearing. The history of these changes will be richly illustrated with portraits reflecting family life. Artists such as Hogarth, Reynolds and Gainsborough along with others will be included.
