About the Speaker

Chris Holley

https://www.chrisholleyart.com/

Coming from a dance/choreographic background and with music in her DNA, graduate visual artist/painter Chris Holley works mainly from memory and imagination to create figurative and abstract paintings.

A long fascination with the synergy between the arts means her major creative influences are dance/movement, music and sometimes poetry. Her specialist subject is the huge impact of Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes on visual art, her writings on this subject now held in the National Library of Art at London’s V&A and in other major global arts bodies.

As an arts communicator she delivers art talks, engaging with her audiences to share vivid images of great art along with stimulating knowledge, thoughts and ideas - all in an informal and non-didactic style.

She exhibits regularly in London and the south of England and has art in collections in USA, France, Spain, Portugal and Thailand as well as the UK.
