The beauty of gardens has long been a subject in both art and literature. Focusing on nineteenth century writers and artists, in this richly illustrated course we shall visit the writings of Jane Austen, Lewis Carroll and Frances Hodgson Burnett. Paintings by Helen Allingham, Monet, Klimt and others will be explored.
