Set against the backdrop of Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, War and Peace is more than just a cracking yarn. In it, Tolstoy poses the big philosophical questions, including ‘how should we live?’ There is no need to have read the book before embarking on this deep dive into what is often described as the greatest novel of all time.
Prior knowledge of the book is not necessary. This is a repeat of the course from January 2025
