Elizabeth Stuart (1596 – 1662), daughter of James I and grandmother to George I, was a remarkable woman. Her happy marriage (aged 16) to the Elector of the Palatinate, produced 14 children and placed her at the centre of political, religious, and military struggles in Europe. After a brief period as Queen of Bohemia, much of her remaining life was spent in exile. Discover her fascinating story.
