Develop your visual literacy, historical knowledge, and critical thinking skills. Analysing historical pictures of Surrey involves careful observation, contextual understanding, and critical interpretation. We will examine visual elements, including lighting and composition. Detailed observation includes the forensic study of fashion, architecture, facial expressions, body language and symbolism. Together we will confirm the date, location, associated events, creator, and purpose of each image.
There will be a 1-hour break for lunch.
