The bitter Spanish Civil War which was fought in the late 1930’s was to trigger powerful responses from both writers and artists. The literary works of Orwell, Hemingway and Lorca will be studied alongside paintings of the Spanish artists Picasso, Dalí and Miró.
This is a repeat of the popular Autumn 2023 course.
