Overview

This course looks at Ukrainian modernist art and is designed to complement the Royal Academy of Arts exhibition In the Eye of the Storm: Modernism in Ukraine, 1900-1930s (29 June – 13 October 2024). We will discover the importance of local and western influences and consider topics such as Constructivism, women’s art, folk art revival, abstract art, and theatre design.
