Project Gemini (1965-66) was NASA’s bridge to the Moon. It taught NASA how astronauts could survive and work for extended periods in space. It also demonstrated the crucial technique of orbital rendezvous. How was this achieved? How did the future ‘first man on the Moon’ Neil Armstrong miraculously save himself and astronaut David Scott in the Gemini 8 rendezvous accident?
