🎶 The GI Music Lounge A huge shout-out to profess 🎶 The GI Music Lounge

A huge shout-out to professional photographer Chris Nevard for brilliantly capturing what The GI Music Lounge is all about.

An intimate live music experience in the heart of Guildford, where you really do feel closer to the music, the musicians and the atmosphere.

And what a superb evening of live jazz last night! Just wonderful.

A big thank you to the Vic Cracknell Jazz Quartet with Duncan Lamont Jr for giving us such a fantastic night of music, dancing and good vibes.

And of course, a special thank you to our GI Music Lounge volunteers and the GI team for all their hard work behind the scenes to help make the evening so special.

These are the evenings that remind you just how brilliant live music can be!

Here’s a little look at the night through Chris’s lens.
Thank you, Chris, for letting us share your photos- we’re so grateful!

Were you at The GI Music Lounge last night?

We’d love to hear what you thought! Pop a comment below or, if you had a great night, leave us a review.

What makes The GI so special? Yes, we have a won What makes The GI so special?

Yes, we have a wonderful programme of events, activities and things to get involved in.

But honestly? It’s the people and our community that make The GI what it is today and this is why The GI matters...

The volunteers.
The fundraisers.
The donors.
The people who give their time, energy and support because they believe in what we do.

And then there’s Vicky… 👇

Our Finance Officer recently took on the rather terrifying challenge of abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower to raise money for The GI.

And thanks to all of you who sponsored her, she raised an incredible £2,520!!!

Every penny will help us care for our very special building and keep The GI here for our community - continuing to provide the events, activities and opportunities that bring people together.

Being a charity isn’t always easy. But then we’re reminded of just how lucky we are to have people like Vicky, and people like you, behind us.

Every donation. Every volunteer hour. Every fundraiser. Every bit of support.
It really does make a difference.

So, Vicky- thank you for going over the edge for The GI! 😂❤️

And to everyone who donated…

Thank you. From all of us.

Because The GI isn’t just about a building.
It’s about the people who care about it and the community who enjoy it.
